About Us

We are a publishing house that specializes in Christian and Bible related works. Seabury Press has a long and rich history. The press began publishing religious works as a component of the Episcopal Church in 1951.

In 1984, due to an excessive deficit, the church decided not to continue with the press. The same year, Seabury became part of the Winston Press as the Seabury-Winston Press. During this time, Winston as well as its parent corporation, CBS, acquired Seabury's assets. In 1986, Seabury's assets came under the ownership of Harper & Row San Francisco.

The current Seabury Press is a non-profit component of the Southwest Phoenix Temple. Sticking to its roots, the re-established Seabury Press has published Christian centered and Biblical related works since 2022.
